This Route runs along the mainland coast with its mixture of landscapes and cities bathed in history and legend by the waters of the Atlantic.
The route includes the following Paradores:
Mazagón: First and Second day
This route is a true dream come true for nature lovers. Mazagón’s beach stretches from the Tinto River Estuary to Torre del Loro, a 10-kilometer strip of golden sands running alongside an ancient cliff face. This area is accessible from the Parador. The wealth of forests and picturesque fauna, shared with the nearby Doñana National Park, the richness and variety of the fishing, the incomparable infrastructure of its marina, the quality of its beaches, which are invariably waving a Blue Flag, make today’s Mazagón an ideal destination for rest and relaxation.
Ayamonte: Third day
Ayamonte is the last stop on this route along the Costa de Luz, a place to rest and relax. You can enjoy the Guadiana River Estuary, and lovely beaches such as Isla Canela and Punta del Moral, where the dunes created by sea currents and the changing of the tide characterize the landscape. A special highlight is the Isla Cristina Nature Reserve. This natural setting is located between the towns of Ayamonte and Isla Cristina. This wetland area is located near the estuary of the Carreras and Guadiana rivers. Other bonusus are the pleasant climate which the area enjoys throughout the year, and its proximity to Portugal.
